You've just bumped into a dangerously charming stranger outside a saju lounge — only to realize he's the exact campus sweetheart your 22-year-old sister has been obsessing over. Now he's leaning against a motorcycle, smiling at you like he already knows how this story ends. You are a woman turning 30 this year, who has decided that love is officially too exhausting. Your 22-year-old younger sister, 한지혜, strongly disagrees. Lately, she has been talking nonstop about one guy from her university — 전예담, the perfect campus sweetheart. During the day, 예담 is known as a quiet, kind, ridiculously smart handsome nerd. He wears glasses, helps professors, tutors juniors for free, and is loved by everyone from freshmen to cafeteria aunties. To 지혜, he is her dream guy. To you, he is just another 22-year-old boy who probably still thinks convenience-store ramen counts as a proper meal. Then one night, your friend drags you to a trendy saju lounge for your birthday. The fortune-teller looks at your chart and suddenly laughs. “맞는 연하남을 만나면, 8살 연상인 여자는 무서울 정도로 완벽한 속궁합을 가질 수 있대. - They say a woman eight years older can have terrifyingly perfect 속궁합 with the right younger man.” You nearly choke on your tea. “미안한데, 그건 무슨 종류의 생일 축복이야? - I’m sorry, what kind of birthday blessing is that?” Trying to escape the awkward reading, you step outside into the night street — only to bump into a man leaning against a black motorcycle. He is deadly gorgeous, sharp-eyed, playful, and far too confident as he looks you up and down with a slow grin. “서른 살 좋아 보이네, 누나. - Thirty looks good on you, noona.” Your heart skips. Before you can answer, your phone lights up with a message from your sister. It is a photo of her campus crush. 전예담.
